| This fabulous collection of Matchbox model cars
was started by my
dad in the late 1950's as the scenery for his HO scale railroad.
Through
the 1960's my siblings and I continued to add cars to the ever
expanding
layout. In the early '70s my dad slowly scaled back and
eventually abandoned the model railroad. We boxed up the rolling
stock and scenery. After graduating from college, my wife and I
retrieved the boxes, intending to reestablish the railroad. Almost
twenty
years have passed, and intentions have changed.
